At last reward for all those cold Sunday mornings.
Over the winter months from November to March a number of our archers take part in the Surrey postal Frostbite competition. It's something that we've been doing for three years now, the club used to take part in it many years before but the interest slowly dwindled, well it does take some effort to get up on a frosty Sunday morning.
In the first year I ran this competition for our club, the winter of 2013/2014, we entered seven teams and we did well but there were no rewards for the effort. Our second year of trying 2014/2015, was better though and at the county AGM in February we received our trophy for winning Div 2 in last years Winter Postal League. Well done to all last years team mates.
The Latest season was still ongoing at the AGM, we had five teams this year and the results were close with 3 way ties in the first and third divisions. In fact in the top three divisions the top three teams are only 100 points apart at best after 5 matches, so it's close run. The good news is that this year (2015/2016) we won divisions 3 & 4, so hopefully more trophies at the 2017 AGM. Our A team in division 1 only lost out by 45 points!
