A weekend filled with Fun, trophies and some archery. The good news is that we had some great results, Ren is Surrey Ladies Champ (was only 2 points from achieving Master Bowman), as a team we are champions for 2016. Graeme got a trophy (I can probably say that we are still not totally sure what for. Apparently Indoor/Outdoor handicap champion). So lots of smiles and rewards for the effort. Well done everyone!
Difficult to know where to start with the rest as this weeked was a complete hoot. We take our archery very seriously and can get really grumpy when it's not going just the way you want it to go. But fits of giggles, raucous laughter and bottom jokes are never far away!
What else happened! Well, the first day started with us once again setting up Farnham Mobile Village and right next to us again that darstardly Richard FitzGerald from GAC. This time though there was a definite marked DMZ between us, well a walkway anyway. But this didn't stop us inviting him in for lunch. In fact we also had 2 permanent residents from GAC, Dan and Neil who didn't have any shelter (see, we are so nice to the competition). Val, Karen and Kevin from GAC also made fleeting visits, probably to tell us to keep it down?
Kat did fantastic in the 720 Head to Head. She shot the 720 well and was up against Anastasia (who ended up 2nd). Her match went to a tie break and if it wasn't for about a couple of inches, would have triumphed. Ren, Steve, Ian, and Graeme also went out but it wasn't quite to exciting.
Well done to Richard FitzGerald who came second in the WA720 H2H. You can see him in the main picture with the other Richard (Wright), he's the one without the trophy.
